The Down Low On Hoodia
Here's the deal. Hoodia gordonii is more than just a funny word. It's a funny name for a plant. Which plant? A little cactus-type plant that you're only going to find in South Africa . What's the deal with this plant? The deal is it's got this stuff in it that when you eat a little bit of it, it tricks your brain into thinking that your tummy is full. That's right. The plant…tricks...your…brain. How psychedelic is that? Jerry Garcia could have used some, you think?
Where can I get some?
Let's be straight, this stuff is rare, it's popular, and therefore; it isn't cheap. Right now there's more demand than there are plants to meet it, and the only way to grow it and get it out of Africa is with permission from the government.
Hello dirty dealers. That's right. There's an underground market for cacti. Not only that, but some of the folks who actually get hold of the real stuff do all kinds of things with it before you get hold of it so what you actually get isn't what they told you that you paid for. They dilute it, they grind it up, and they mix in a bunch of filler and label it as pure hoodia so that people who don't know any better can get fooled into buying it. Well, I'm no fool, and I'm going to help make sure you're no fool either.
When you buy a hoodia product look for a ratio (y'know, like 10:1). Ratios tell you how many hoodia plants they had to use to get enough good stuff took to make one capsule.
There is no substitute for hoodia gordonii. Nothing else will do what it does. There's no such animal as synthetic hoodia that might be cheaper. If you want good hoodia without spending a bundle, buy the good stuff in bulk.
How long will it take to help me?
Hoodia isn't a magic pill that'll melt the pounds right off while you do nothing. It will only help you if you eat right and exercise. For some people it works right away. Others get the benefits over time.
Watch out for extra stuff like green tea and caffeine. Companies think that metabolism boosters go great with hoodia. If you like that stuff, cool. If you react weird to that stuff, then keep to products made with pure hoodia. |
